Delete your account

Deleting your Kachello account removes it and everything stored with it on our servers, for good. Workouts saved on your phone stay there: you can keep using the app without an account, reset the data in Settings → Data, or uninstall the app.

In the app

Settings → Account → Delete account. The account is deleted right away.

Without the app

Write to support@kachello.com from the email address of your account, with the subject “Delete my Kachello account”. If you signed in with Google, write from that Google account’s address. We delete the account within 30 days and reply when it is done. If the request comes from another address, we will ask you to confirm it from the account’s address first.

What is deleted

Your account: the email address and the ways you sign in (Google, password, email code).
Everything the app synced to our servers: workouts, plans and programs, exercise settings and notes, body weight and measurements, your profile name and settings.
Your usage statistics in PostHog, with their events.

What is kept, and for how long

Encrypted backups of our database: up to 30 days, so deleted data disappears from them within 30 days.
Crash reports in Firebase Crashlytics: up to 90 days. They hold only a random account identifier, never your email or name.
Data on your phone stays until you reset it (Settings → Data) or uninstall the app. Progress photos never leave the phone.
